/First of all thank you for the feature. It's my pleasure to be answering your questions, it’s always pleasing to be recognised for hard work. Personal introductions first off, my name’s Romika Fazeli and I am the founder and managing director of Emirates World Club based in the United Arab of Emirates. Being originally from Germany and now based in Dubai full time being multilingual comes in very useful, I speak multiple languages and have always found it easy to relate to people as people, without agenda and without prejudices. “We all love travelling. Unfortunately 2020 is indeed discouraging year prohibiting us to do so. How did you cope with the pandemic as we understand that you have left Dubai for quite some time staying abroad? Does it help in terms of state of mind and energy restoration?”
/This past year has been an unprecedented one, the business world has faced problems never before seen. Personal lives have been turned upside down too. Emirates World Club is a modern enterprise with a strong digital footprint which helped us immensely to tackle the pandemic head on. Being an entrepreneur I have to have a forward thinking mind set, I am accustomed to the ups and downs of a business life. Protecting your mind set and positive energy is very important, personal wellness is imperative for personal success. Coping with the pandemic for me meant adapting to our new corporate surroundings, businesses need to evolve in order to survive. Online communications and digital marketing have been key to surviving our pandemic in the UAE. Continuing to have confidence and optimism was important at EWC to instil confidence into members and partners.
“As the founder and owner of Emirates World Club, perfection is definitely something you emphasize on. How do you define perfection in terms of business aspect as well as personal lifestyle?”
/ I think it is important for aspiring business women to understand that perfection has more than one definition, it is more than one thing. Neither does perfection look one way, it is a subjective adjective. One women’s perfection in life or business may not be perfection to the next women. Nor is perfection stationary, just like success, it is not linear, it comes and goes in life as in business. At Emirate World Club we most definitely strive for perfection, it is set as an aspirational goal, I think it is important to have high standards in order to reach further. “If you aim for the moon and miss at least you hit the stars” I believe this is true in personal achievements or corporate success. In the modern professional world women are so often compared and contrasted against each other and talked about against other people’s ideas of perfection. Our company’s principles are based on equality and hard work. Perfection at EWC is induvial, our member’s idea of perfection is what is important to us. We work hard as a company we go above and beyond to deliver their perceived perfection.

LIMITATIONS- Setting limitations on yourself will only allow other to do the same. Limitations can only narrow your search for success. Don’t fall into the trap of limiting yourself because of self-doubt and let your own perception of your abilities limit your achievements. You have to be bold and brave, you are no longer just a women, and you are an entrepreneur and all that has entailed. Do not limit your own mind-set or your goals. Get out there, be persistent and let the work speak for you.
SAY NO- this might sound counter-productive but learn to say no and it will open hundreds of doors. Learn to say no to being underappreciated, overworked and over looked. Learnt how to say no instead of bending over backward for everyone and everything. Short term pain for long term gain, it may feel foreign to walk away from something but the right opportunity is out there.
ATTITUDE, NOT EXPERIENCE- you cannot always be the person with the most experience but you can be the person with the most enthusiasm. The right attitude can take you much further than the highest marks. Stay positive, consistent and show people you are willing to learn.
