/I am Dejan Štancer. I am from Europe, more precisely from Slovenia, a Central European country. I am the Chairman of the Global Chamber of Business Leaders, Senior Advisor for one of the largest technology projects in Europe, officially registered lobbyist in the European Union. Specifically, I also advise leaders, administrators and investors from all over the world. I am also the President of the Kazakh-Slovenian Business Club; one of the largest business clubs in Europe.
"As the name says, the Global Chamber of Business Leaders is one of the leading organizations in the world. Kindly tell us more about the organization you are currently leading particularly the history and how does the structure works in GCBL?"
/The Global Chamber of Business Leaders better known as GCBL, is one of the most prestigious organizations in the world, bringing together successful leaders and investors from around the world. GCBL was headquartered in Dubai at the time of its establishment and we have relocated the headquarters to United States in year 2020.
GCBL has a Board of Directors, which first consists of a Chairman, Vice-Chair, Executive Director, deputies and directors of individual programs or committees of the chamber. GCBL also has a Board of Trustees which comsist ofrenowned names from the global economy and politics. As for the GCBL Board of Advisors, their job is to assist, advise and validate key decisions made by the management. Besides that, GCBL also appoint country’s delegates; currently nominated in more than 50 countries around the world.
GCBL delegates are the highest representatives of the GCBL in the countries where they are situated; kind of ambassadors for the Chamber or national governors, entrusted by GCBL. Their main duties include the establishment of national chapters of the Global Chamber of Business Leaders. Each Chapter has its own officials covering the President, the Vice-President, the Secretary, and so on. All chapters also have their own Board of Trustees, highly respected individuals who can advise on running the chapter and working with the GCBL umbrella organization.
The Global Chamber of Business Leaders is a coalition of governmental leaders, CEOs/ C-level executives, entrepreneurs, investors business and industry leaders who share a common vision namely the sustainable well-being and growth of business in a disruptive and ever-evolving global economy.

"GCBL is built on the strong value system of connecting business leaders worldwide. To-date, how many members have joined and who are those prominent figures under the line-ups of board of trustees, board of advisers and delegates?"
/To-date, we have thousand of members being the remarkable achievement. The membership policy until 2021 was quite different. We have introduced new rules that have been in force since the middle of last year with the change of policies within the Global Chamber of Business Leaders. Anyone who wants to join need to prove that they are either business or opinion leaders, managers, investors and political leaders with integrity.
I can’t list the names of all our executives and trustees involved in the Global Chamber of Business Leaders here despite the interview will be too long. It is also inappropriate for me to name only a few individuals in that all involving parties are equally great and I personally proud to be able to work with all the exceptional personalities. That's a really big honour.
"Everyone have been talking about the post pandemic and year 2020 was not a good year though; what is your vision moving forward in year 2021?"
I have a really hard time talking about plans for 2021, as everything is still subject to the Covid-19 virus pandemic. The pandemic seems to be calming down, but it is really too early to talk about it. We will only able to really start implementing the work plan for 2021 once we are able to travel to different parts of the world for meetings and appointments, which is crucial for us.
In any case, in 2021 we plan to further strengthen the structure of chapters in various countries of the world by appointing new delegates in some countries where GCBL is not yet directly present; it applies the same with delegates of GCBL YBLP (Young Business Leaders Program). At this juncture, we will ensure that business leaders involved in GCBL are integrated into the global network as much as possible for expanding their business network, harvesting new opportunities, exchanging knowledge and experience towards successful establishments.
"We heard much about the GCBL Annual Summit scheduled to be held in Washington, D.C. United States of America. What is the main agenda of this prestigious summit? How can a country be the main host for GCBL Annual Summit in the years to come?"
/We have decided to organize several events in GCBL every year which among these events the most prestigious Annual Summit. It is the most prestigious event each year bringing together at its core outstanding speakers, prominent entrepreneurs and leaders from both business and politics. The GCBL Annual Summit will focus on the most pressing topics in the world covering the countries and the nation through dialogue sessions with the participation of a wide range of stakeholders. The first GCBL Annual Summit will take place as early as this year between November 3 and 5 in Washignton D.C., USA. The main agenda of GCBL Annual Summit is truly amazing which exceeded all expectations even it is still eight months ahead.
Herewith, I wish to highlight that GCBL will be launching the elite event next year in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Several concrete steps have already been in place and our experts are already dealing with all the key issues that are necessary for the implementation of such a demanding event, which will not be possible without the help of the state leadership. Since I personally love Malaysia very much; I do hope we will succeed having this beautiful country to become the World Capital of Business Leaders throughout the GCBL Annual Summit 2022.
"How do you see Malaysia among other Asean countries? The FDI is always the main indicative measurement for various fields of investment covering cross border finance deals. Should there be potential investment opportunities or co-developed industries which GCBL can involve with, any particular sector / s deemed preferred portfolio within GCBL ecosystems?"
/I know Malaysia quite well such as your country history, the multi-racial culture, even a word or two in Bahasa Melayu. I have been to your beautiful country as a tourist, and at the same time I have been to the countries of Southeast Asia more than two dozen times. I myself see Malaysia as a country that has a great position to develop its potential in tourism, which is exceptional, but at the same time the country has a highly developed industrial production, an excellent education system, and last but not least, exceptional, educated and friendly people. You know, the people are always the greatest assets for a country, not the other way round.
At GCBL, we are fully focused on the economy recovery and always ready for any possible changes that the future of business will shape after the pandemic. I would not like to talk about priority portfolios due to one of the fundamental goals of GCBL is to help the world economy by creating as many new jobs as possible and to develop more cross border business opportunities together.
"As the Chairman of GCBL and other organizations, how do you achieve work-life balance? Kindly share with our audience the Top Five tips for achieving and maintaining a healthy work-life balance."
/I am a workaholic who works 20 hours a day when needed and that I know how to enjoy it. Running such an important and diversified organization such as GCBL is in a way quite a way of life, so it would be really hard to talk about the demarcation between work and private life. In my opinion, the most important thing is that you know how to organize work so that it runs smoothly even if you yourself is unreachable. It is important to choose quality employees, trained people who have enough self-confidence to be able to take on certain management responsibilities and make quality decisions that do not deviate from the guidelines of the path and development of the central organization.
Last but not least, it is also important to maintain your lifestyle which you truly enjoy. Personally, I love to travel, meet new people such as quality leaders from whom I can learn and expand my horizons. When we put things in the right context, we will savour life by enjoying the gift of each moment. Maybe that’s why I enjoy what I do.
